4xe is dead?

I understand why some people want to go hybrid at first before letting go of their ice vehicles, but hybrids have the problems of both and just not enough of the benefits of either. Sometimes you just gotta rip off the bandaid to get better. Hybrids feel like a bandaid.

Too bad. I've been driving my 2018 PHEV Honda Clarity for 8 years, 90% on battery but the ICE is there for longer trips with no charging delays. Been reliable and perfect with few trips to the gas station. It's a great way to transition to an EV auto economy ans infrastructure is built up.

I think the primary needs to change, much like how the range extender units are kicking it up like Rev and the Scout Harvester kit. Ev first, generator to keep going a bit more.

That will reduce the ice complexity and costs of having a drivetrain/etc in ice format.
