We just got new 2026 Toyota BZ4X today were very excited to own new EV car. My question is for the charging cord which it comes with 20ft cord but i need another 40 ft. Has anyone use an extension cord? If so any one works from amazon? Or has anyone buy one from off amazon ?

I thought Toyota dropped the "4X" from the name of this EV.

Using an extension cord to power an EVSE is not recommended. If at all possible, you should have an electrician install a 240-Volt outlet within reach of your 20-foot cord to support Level 2 charging.

When electricians install a 240-Volt EVSE, they typically use 6-gauge wire. Amazon sells a 250-Volt, 50-Amp, 25-foot, 6-gauge extension cord, but that's 15 feet short of your requirements.

If you can stand to wait a long time to charge your new Toyota, Amazon sells a 50-foot, 10-gauge extension cord that could handle 120-Volt (Level 1) charging, but no EVSE manufacturer would recommend going that route.
