2024 MINI Cooper SE launch date?

Our MA informed us 2 days ago that our order was moved to 2024 production, then last night I saw this on Track My Mini. There is a VIN as well. The configurator on the MINI website is still for 2023 model. The difference I see compared to our 2023 order is that heated steering wheel is not an option but standard in '24, at least for the iconic trim that we picked. I am a bit concerned that I cannot see the other possible changes for the '24 model that I may want to pick, before we pass the point of no return in the build.
 
I wouldn't worry about a "point of no return", you have the right to refuse buying it at delivery time. The dealer shouldn't mind, they can likely sell the car fairly easily.

I don't think there's been any talk of any changes between 2023 and 2024, except for maybe some differences in packages like you mention with the heated steering wheel. My 2020-ordered SE became a 2021 model during processing and it didn't affect anything. I think people who got 2023s had an unusually rough time because of all of the sudden supply chain issues, which hopefully have smoothed out some if not completely resolved.

They just updated options and colors in November, so I don't think what you'll get in an early 2024 model is much different than what's listed here for late 2023 models:

Not that big of a deal really. We like the car as-is, and we will purchase it regardless. Just nitpicking. First world problems... :)

It’s very likely that he will get the build you specified, but it will be identified as a 2024 in the paperwork. I ordered my 2023 in March, 2022, during the delayed transition to the current model year, and I got some standard and optional features from both model years that no longer exist in this combination for 2023.

As a follow up; copy/paste from what I just received from our MA, to give an idea for those in a similar situation:
"It is showing production should be done by March 3rd. Then it typically ships around 2 weeks after that. Then about 25 days on the water so I am thinking we should see it mid April."

Don’t be surprised by additional delays along the way. My ‘23 SE sat in the production queue for a couple weeks before hitting the assembly line, and waited about 4 weeks for a boat at the port in Southampton. For you out on the west coast, there can also be a few days of queuing at the Panama Canal.

I know, I had been through something similar with another brand 1.5 years ago. It took around 5 weeks on the water from Germany. Luckily, Panama Canal was a 48-hour event. The whole shebang was a 7 month adventure from order to delivery. Good times...

Biggest changes appears to be the return of the lowest-tier Cooper SE at around $30k (this time called 'Classic' instead of 'Signature'), and the addition of an 'Upholstery Package' upgrade for the Signature trim.
Thanks for the link! The sentence announcing the Upholstery Package upgrade refers to "Signature Trim:"

The all-electric Cooper SE models with the Signature Trim will now offer the Upholstery Package upgrade, following the examples of the rest of the MINI Hardtop 2-Door range.

Trim levels used to be Signature ($30k), Signature Plus ($35k), and Iconic ($38k). MINI stopped offering the Signature trim, renamed Signature Plus to Signature 2.0... and now they're getting rid of the "2.0" and re-introducing the lowest trim level as 'Classic'.

So now, across the entire line, trim options are Classic ($31k), Signature ($34k), and Iconic ($37k).

Looking at that table, which doesn't mention "Signature" trim, after reading this info above the table is what confused me:

The mention of Signature Trim for the Cooper SE made me think the table left out the SE trim levels. Do they mean the Upholstery Package upgrade is now included and that upgrade is what turns the former "Signature" trim into the more costly "Classic" trim level?
