Planning on replacing the 2008 Sorento. Not in a hurry as it is still solid as a rock. Since we have a Clarity we aren't buying much gas now. The Sorento spends most of it's time in the garage. Unless a different/better PHEV SUV shows up we will be patient. 39 miles on battery for an SUV is excellent in my opinion.

So basically, they will send production to California. Sounds pretty much like Clarity production.

Just checked with local Utah stealership regarding availability. Salesman said RAV4 Prime will only be sold in California and New York. He also said the only way to purchase outside of those two states is if you pay the shipping charges.

Not the case in Michigan. Just received word that my order will be fulfilled this summer. They will be selling for MSRP.

Looks like demand in Japan has reached supply limits. New orders there are now suspended.

The RAV4 Prime will be pretty limited in the U.S. too, it seems.

About 5,000 will be sold in the U.S. this year (2020) and about 20,000 in 2021.

They are hard to get. We had to go 400 miles to find some in MD. We were able to get one for MSRP. Drives very well and we got 30.4 MPG on the interstate towing our camper. 50% better than our Volt.
