I tried to avoid it, but the dealer installed it this morning as part of the 15000km service - after I asked them not to do it.

The home screen is basically useless - displaying the time and outside temperature only tells me things I can get from the top line or the instrument cluster.
The map on the right side is so dark, that in direct sunlight, it all but disappears - even with the brightness turned up.
When using the split screen function to try and get something like previous setup, it turns out that the smaller window on the right side of the screen is not a button to go into that function - just a display.
User interface is always important with any system, but especially in a busy environment like a car.
It doesn't need to look cute. It needs to be easily accessible, readable and helpful while you're busy controlling the car.
I'm furious with the dealer and Hyundai because:
1. the dealer did what I asked them not to do
2. Hyundai Australia tell me there is no way to roll back to the previous version.
3. I have lost readability, speed of access and functionality - that I paid for.
I'm getting tired of the hassles of owning this car. Sure, it's been fun to drive and cheap to operate, but four recalls in under a year (and another one due in April or May) and the gradual removal of functionality that contributed to my buying decision in the first place... I think Hyundai have a lot of things to sort out before I look at another one.

Any programmers here that reckon they could get into the firmware?
