Good news! I, too, had success today with the update. It took about 10 minutes. You are right, OS9 seems more responsive.Update is done! I drove around for 2 minutes, parked the vehicle and turned off the drive ready mode. Once in the accessory mode I was able to run the update! The MINI OS9 is much snappier!
Not sure if it was the difference maker, but I was previously parked on an incline and the update worked while I parked on a level surface.
The F-150 Lightning had the same issue, there was a recall on the 12 V battery status module that was preventing OTA updates. Weird that it's so common.Yes apparently pre-March 2024 builds w/ MINI OS9 generally need a dealership visit. That 12V battery status was also common for BMW firmware updates with ISTA when the voltages was under 12.55V.
