10 min charging

Thanks although I had rendering problems with Safari. Google Chrome worked fine. Always disappointing to see browser compatibility issues. Nice heat transfer technology.

The moment it takes ~about~ the same amount of time to ~fill up~, i think we'll see some drastic changes and adoption. Gas stations will convert to EV stations when their tanks expire instead of digging them up and replacing them.
 
For my car, Ioniq 6, charging is plenty fast enough. Many of my stops are actually only 10 min, to hit the washroom, and then on the move again. 20 min is normally the max time I charge (unless I am at a slower charger), and that would be to catch a quick bite. I look ahead on my display to choose the best chargers enroute, not only high speed, but with amenities that I need to use.

I think price is the biggest issue, esp now that rebates are no longer available. There is still a $10-20K diff to buy an equivalent ICE car. You can buy a lot of gas for that diff. Now if we could get the Chinese cars, that problem would be quickly resolved.
 
Do we want those? I keep watching battery tear down videos from Will Prowse and the majority of the CN batteries are just not what they advertise. Cheap cells, not enough safeguards, not hooked up temp sensors, etc.

For me, I struggle with colder temps. LiFePo4 can't take a charge under 30 degrees or something. Well, that's most nights from october to april up here. I'm sure the EV battery cells are better than a standard 12v unit, perhaps are self-heating, but that all just eats energy. Ultimately, we need a new tech that is better in the cold for wider adoption up here.
 
Well, in the US, we will probably never find out, or at least for a while. But the rest of the world is going for them, so time will tell how good or bad they really are.

Myself, both our BEVs are 2023s so won't be looking for a new car for some time yet. I want my next car to have L3 Autonomous driving.
