Good point, cuz that battery care screen will show the huge increase.

  3. Well, it just turned colder here on the west coast,... a lot colder. We had it mild, was +14C for a few days just a couple weeks ago. This morning it is -13C which for here is extreme cold. Forecast says it might go as low as -18C. Up in the mountains it is -35C, so won't be skiing for a while. Manning is -33C right now. It is now brutal. I pity all those destination skiers up at Whistler, not what they bargained for. Supposed to warm up again later next week, so hopefully everything will get back to normal. And when it snows again, will do more skiing, and will try that preconditioning again.

  4. A bit warmer today, -9C, but still pretty cool. While driving this morning, I tried that Energy Information Screen where it shows Battery Care and Climate real time consumption data. Pretty interesting, nothing showing up in the Battery Care box, so obviously no heating happening there. However, was surprised how high the Climate consumption was. At the start of my drive it was about 4.8 kW, lowering to near 3 at the end (about 9.5 kms of driving). I also had the steering wheel heat on. But in my settings I have Climate set to ECO. And when I pushed the Climate Off button, it still showed consumption in that box. Maybe it takes a while for everything to shut off. Will be interesting on a longer trip to see the consumption numbers, esp the Battery Care when I use the preconditioning with a set charging destination.

Energy Information screen is very handy.
I used preconditioning lots yesterday on my 400km + highway run. And it basically pulls 5kWh while the coil is on the screen.
I did voice recordings on my watch, so I have to put it on paper to make sense of it all.
I used the heat more than I normally as I had brother in the car and couldn't freeze him out.
The higher the blower goes, the more it uses.
Once warmed up I did find 22c and first level blower worked out good.
I like the voice command on thr steering wheel for turning on steering wheel heat or heat on or off.
It does default to 3rd blower speed. But voice command can lower it.
After 2nd charge, didn't need preconditioning, so I was seeing average 20kWh per 100km which is really good comparing it, to my prev Kona.
First charger and even though preconditione, pulled avg 80kWh charge rate. But it was Also at 70%soc.
Second charger, preconditioned, pulled 150kWh at 42%soc. Approx Temps 0c.
I used preconditioning alot yesterday testing, so I'm positive that effected my range .
Next time I do the same run, will have to only charge and precondition once, so I should see a range increase.
I'm gonna do my overall observations soon, and lots of positives especially driving assistant stuff.
