We have the Signature trim, the lines are present.

I did that with no luck, the options are disabled.

Wow, that sucks. I thought those were default features (it's just a software thing), but I could be wrong.

Definitely not, I can access both of those settings on my signature.

It may be that you are blocked from changing them while the car is actually in reverse. Try putting the car in reverse to bring up the camera, then put it back in park and try changing the settings before the camera goes away

  6. Good point, gave that a shot but no luck. I think, it’s either a software glitch or victim of chip shortage?

Definitely a software glitch if anything, there should be no other chips involved in adjusting contrast or showing some lines on the screen...

I just confirmed on mine that I can change the settings with the car in reverse. Just to confirm, you are clicking left on the iDrive knob then scrolling up and down to select the setting and it says "contrast" just greyed out?

  10. That’s right, I’m able to scroll up and down across those three options but pressing iDrive knob to select one of them does nothing.

I just took delivery of my Signature trim SE and I have the same issue. I can't select any of the options (Brightness, Contrast, Parking aid lines) for the Rear View Camera. I can see them and select them, just can't do anything

Just want to update this post. I took my SE Sig trim yesterday to the dealer and told them about the Rear-View camera options not being operational. Options for Brightness, Contrast and Parking aid lines are there but doesn't do anything when you select them. I don't even have parking aid lines showing on my rearview camera so it's just like I bought a 3rd party camera. Sucks. Here is what the dealer said this morning: "We tried to program your car. Buttons for rear camera still inoperable. Mini engineering was contacted. They are having a issue with this and this is under investigation. They are currently trying to work on a remedy..."

Anyone in here with the same issue able to get this resolved?

These functions all work on the SE I just picked up.

  15. Thanks for the update. Unfortunately, I haven’t had chance to see dealer for this issue yet but glad to hear that mini engineering is aware of the issue and working on a remedy.

My lines are there on my SE picked up in January. As for the rear parking sensors, I would gladly give them up. Our garage door opening is really tight and they make a racket when I am pulling out and are useless for keeping me from hitting anything. Basically crying wolf. They are nice for backing into a street and a car is coming. Wish there was an option to turn them off and on at will.

Have you been reading the Bimmercode thread? Bimmercode can make your wish come true if you're willing to mess with your SE's brain.

I did scan the thread and I looked into the list of options but was never sure it would change it. May try it now. Can you set it to be turned on and off on the numbered options?

I'm not ready to reprogram my SE--unless someone finds an AM radio hidden inside--so you'll have to ask one of the Bimmercode experts on that thread how the back-up sensor alarm can be turned on and off.

Just picked up my SE (signature trim) last night and noticed the same issue with the options greyed out.

Will be heading to the dealership later to see what they say.

Doesn't this switch actively turn them on/off?

There was a similar button in my i3 that I would press to turn the parking sensors off when I didn't need them (like drive-thru windows/etc).

That's the parking assistant switch. I don't think it was an option for the 2022 Signature Trim. It's listed as standard features for the 2022 Iconic Trim.

Gotcha - It looks just like the button I'd use in my i3 to turn it off when necessary.

    What about this button?
