Has anyone located a setback protector for the SE? I have one on my Forester for when the seats are down and it's a great extension of the luggage area mat to haul luggage, etc. when the rear setbacks are folded down.

Thanks, search is all about wording! Looks like that mat at Amazon ($19 now, if it’s the same one) is the only answers at the moment.

Lloyd Mats sells exactly what you are looking for. Works great. I keep the rear seats down all the time. The back-of-seat cover matches the Lloyd’s cargo bay carpet.

I went to Lloyd Mats by Covercraft, but saw only Carpet Mats and All Weather Mats--nothing for the rear of a MINI F56 (or any other vehicle). Do you have a link to their products for the rear of a MINI F56?

A 4ft x 3ft mat from Costco, with a little trimming where the hatch closes.

For the back of the seat backs?

This, and the fact that the rear headrests jam into the front seats if the front seats are set at a distance any normal-sized human finds comfortable.

When the rear seats are “flat”, which is their normal position.

I take the headrests off the rear seats before laying them down, and they lie completely flat.

A bit hard to see the mats in the car being black on black. So, I include a photo of the mats on concrete for your viewing pleasure.

I leave the headrests in place with the seat backs lowered.

Those look really nice. Are they anchored at all?

No anchor. I have toyed with the idea of adding Velcro to the corners, but have not explored that as yet.

What I would really like is simply one large mat that covered the entire space, seat-backs and cargo area. I think that would be less likely to shift around, which the two separate mats will do at times.

The Canvasback liner covers everything and is held in place via velcro, I really like it. I add an EVA foam pad on top for the dogs, but I leave the Canvasback in place all the time. It's designed to allow to cover everything while allowing the seats to stay up or go down.

Same here. My Costco mat is a reasonable fit for my purposes but doesn’t cover the full width of the rear seats.
