  1. Yes, I have the Resolute 2024 edition in California and that is the wheel that comes with it, I really like them.

Do those yellow-free wheels have their own name? Resolute Spoke?

I wonder if MINI sells them for the same price as the original Corona Spoke, er, Power Spoke wheels. Are they more expensive because they're used on fewer cars or less expensive because they don't get the Energetic Yellow paint?

Electric Collection Spoke. Same as the 2022 Electric Collection with the yellow delete.

I've wondered how much it would cost to replace the "Corona Spoke" wheels and Hankook tires I keep in the basement and bring up to mount on my SE for Drive Electric Week appearances: nearly $3,000. It is crazy that they charge more for wheels without the curb-philic Energetic Yellow paint.

Don't forget the $500 in shipping fees!

Do these get more expensive once the cars they fit on are out of production, or less?

I have a set of Power Spoke from the Electric Collection option I am thinking of selling - tires have 5,000 miles. What do you think they would go for?

I didn't find any recent Power Spoke auctions on eBay. However, this place in Germany sold 4 of the more common (Energetic Yellow stripe) Power Spokes used, wearing Dunlop SP Winter Sport tyres (one wheel with "kerb scratches") for €1,099.00 ($1,211), not including shipping.

I ran to the basement to unstack and inspect my Power Spokes just so I could go to sleep tonight!

I think I remember paying around $1600 new for my Spectre Grey Revolites (shipped from Germany), plus another $800 or so for new tires (the Hakkapeliittas). Considering how rare and iconic the Power Spokes are, especially the Resolute edition, I'd think you could sell them for quite a bit.

The limited edition SE convertible Electric Collection Spoke wheels are from 100% recycled products. I'd imagine the Power Spokes should be at least 70% recycled aluminum/steel (from Autogefühl interview w/ BMW Group Andreas Vetter).

Alloy wheel are made of aluminum /magnesium /nickel and is difficult to recycle those 2 elements as is easy recycle aluminum you can’t bond or melt steel with aluminum

Yes I should have made that more clear that the lug bolts are the steel and is not brazed/welded to aluminum.

  20. I'm pretty certain I've seen pictures several years old of the European version SE with the power-spoke wheel minus yellow Corona. Possibly, the yellow rim was only for the US? Until the Resolute anyway.

Also the orientation they chose for the "MINI" text seems 90° off just looking at a typical UK power outlet.

  21. I could be wrong, but it looks like about half of the wheel weights are just cancelling out other wheel weights.

  22. OK I was wrong, the wheel weight distribution must be for dynamic balancing.

I traded in a SE with a light scrape on one of the yellow 'coronas', and the Mini dealer dinged me $100. So it's an expensive careless error, but the wheels can be restored by a wheel shop for much less than new wheels.
