I'm pretty sure I've decided on getting the Iconic anyway, so this is great news for me! Just waiting for my salesman to submit my order. Thanks for the quick reply!

I asked my salesman if they have been notified of 2022 production dates yet - the reply I received was:

"That’s one of the questions we are trying to get an answer to as well. They are “accepting” orders now, we are trying to get a first build date from them. We are hearing no “DELIVERY” until march 1, but trying to get that confirmed."

He said my order was the first 2022 they are trying to get into the system, so there are still question marks around my order and timing. I replied to him that I have set my expectations to "patience" mode, and his reply made me laugh:

"I will be your advocate for “impatient” mode, "

Is impatient mode new for 2022? Is it above sport mode in terms of speed/feel? ;)

I am still anxiously waiting for that accepted order with those 2022 new options I requested (wheels, piano black). I feel like I’m going to get an email saying ‘sorry, the 18” Pulse are not available on the SE’. I don’t even care about the size (I know Lainey does not like 18s), but I do really like the style. If there are no other new 2022 wheel options available which I like, my fall back position will be the Roulettes.

I love the style absolutely! Just knowing how tires have behaved with the 17s - I almost went for uglier 16s just to have a taller sidewall. We have way too many potholes in the city :(

Based on the noticeably softer ride when I switched from 17" Power Spokes to 16" Loop Spokes on my SE (Hankook Summer tires on both), I can't imagine how bone-jarring 18" or 19" rims would be. I now have Michelin X-Ice 3 Winter tires on the Loop Spoke rims. The smaller rims aren't as attractive--but better than 10" rims like the original Mini.

I’ll admit that I’m jealous you have a dealer who is even allowing you that you are first in line and trying to figure stuff out. I don’t get the sense my dealer is that anxious for me.

And honestly, I shouldn’t be that concerned, as I really do not drive much during this pandemic. June is what I was led to believe by my dealer and that’s fine. Best that I wait to get full information about options, understand what I want, and place a thoughtful order.

I see where forum member "Thom Garland" recently updated the delivery spreadsheet with "island blue/white roof" and "Chesterfield malt brown" seat color. I don't seem able to tag Thom, so I hope you see this post. Inquiring minds want to know if you were given a full list of paint/seat/wheel choices on your SE order.

Could they have been from a different site?

I've been looking at international sites and some are showing 2021 changes already

Thom indicated Oregon and that production began 2/4/21.

Interesting. I have seen this spreadsheet elsewhere but don't recognize the username

I got my Vehicle Inquiry report from my salesman this morning - no production number yet. He missed a number of options I requested, so I still have a bit of back and forth ahead of me. Once I have the final version I will share the complete list of items on it.

But I wanted to share what I have so far:

    1) Wheels: 18" Pulse spoke NOT available on SE (as we suspected might happen) - I have asked if there are any new wheels available on the 2022 SE that were not available on the 2021

    2) Upholstery: I have asked if there are any new options for 2022

    3) Vehicle Inquiry report - some confirmation of new features:
    • Status: "047 - Spec. released-no quota avail" (whatever this means)
    • Model: 22M9 Cooper SE Hardtop 2 Door
    • Iconic trim items: (partial list) $7,000 for the trim
      • 2XD Nappa leather steering wheel - No charge
      • 3L2 Piano Black Exterior Trim - No charge
      • 541 Active Cruise Control - No charge
      • 302 Alarm System (did this used to be a separate item?)
    • Items listed outside of Iconic section: No charge on any of these
      • 248 Heated steering wheel
      • 494 Heated front seats
      • 4UR Ambient Lighting
      • 5AS Active Driving Assistant
      • 8S4 Variable Light Decoding
    • 7GK Touchscreen Navigation Plus - no charge

Awesome! I wonder if the piano black trim is no charge on all levels? That alone would've made me thrilled. Calling around for chrome delete and grille and boot handle wraps.

I talked to my dealer about wheels for winter. Not a lot available at the moment. Only silver SE 16" rims. Waiting to see if new come up.

I got the Visual Order guide! (posted in a new thread) I changed my wheels to the 17" Scissor Spokes. I like how those look.

YES. This used to be separate... $500 separate, in fact! This makes a ton of sense because the 8.8" Touchscreen used to be an Iconic-Trim only feature, and now that's standard at all levels. So they needed to add some value back into the Iconic package.

This means my 2022 Mini SE will be $500 cheaper than the 2021 I ordered (and then cancelled).

Do you know if the Iconic trim still comes with the black MINI Electric carpeted floor mats with the yellow MINI E logo on the passenger's mat? Because I plan to drive my SE for a long time, I think I should buy another set of those mats while they're still available. I regretted not buying a spare set for my 2006 Honda Insight because by the time the driver's side mat wore out, Honda wasn't selling them anymore. There are always plenty of OEM Insight passengers-side mats available on ebay, but never the one for the driver's side.

I have no information on what they will look like. Might have to wait until one of us takes delivery on a 2022.

Reordered our Sig-plus SE a week ago after pondering the Harmon/Kardon Premium System issue. We had put our order on hold last month after finding out the H/K system was temporarily unavailable. After hearing from our dealer the H/K system may not be offered again, we took the $550 credit and reordered sans the H/K system. Downside - we lost a month, upside - its ordered now :) We were given a four month delivery estimate (September 2021).
