Let’s get the HV range problem fixed!!!! Here’s how and a poll to track it

There are a couple things that will make the gas engine run, even though you are in Electric mode. Have you noticed when the gas engine is running?

Accelerating too fast (past the detente in the gas pedal, if you notice it), will kick on the gas engine for extra power.

Decelerating too fast (especially with a fully charged battery), will activate the gas engine.

Once the gas engine is running, it will continue to run until it has warmed up. This warmup could use 30% of the mileage on a 20 mile trip.

The Clarity starts in electric mode, be sure you are not pressing the HV button: That would put it in Hybrid mode, and cause it to use the gas engine.

Also, staying away from Sport mode will make it harder to activate the gas engine. I generally run in Econ mode.
