I came over from the FB group, in QC since 5/17 I think. SIG Plus with 17" black tentacle. I do have the Special Identification also now.
Maybe Mini’s allotment at the port is full, and so they stack in QC at the factory until there’s room at the port? Appears to be lots stuck at port, my self included for now going on almost a month.
Not sure about MINI specifically but QC is frequently a holding location when waiting for missing components. It would make sense with the current supply chain situation
Congrats! I just checked and am still in QC but nice to know someone is moving forward.....here's hoping we're all out of QC hell soon....
I was in "Awaiting Carrier Assignment" 9-10 days ago. The next day I got bounced back to "Ready for Transport" and have been sitting there since. I'm just hoping the system is lagging and it's not just sitting in a parking lot outside the factory for the last two weeks.
Day 12 - I am trying to escalate within Mini just to get some sort of insight as to what's going on. I can wait but the true frustration is getting stuck in a phase that everyone else typically blazes through. I can't wait until @abrandt renames this thread to 'anyone else stuck in awaiting carrier assignment?'
Frustrating, and I hope Mini can address what's going on in your situation. Maybe it's cold comfort, but I checked again this morning and was moved to "DISPATCHED FROM FACTORY", so at least things aren't at a complete standstill.
And here's what Mini responded back to me - boilerplate - I get it but was hoping for more information than this.... Hi Wally, Thanks for writing to MINI USA regarding your upcoming 2023 MINI Cooper SE Hardtop. I reached out to my MA earlier today. He is out sick but had his manager check on it. The response was they believe it is due to a “backordered sensor”. He will check into it further and update me next week when he is back.
Must be the sensor for the armature sprocket. Because as it is now, "The armature sprocket is causing interference which, in turn, causes the combustion line to interfere with the flow in the Dynaflow" and you dont want a car with that issue. Old guys will understand the advanced engineering theory behind this.
still on a boat to the destination port, when the boat arrived your tracking will be back saying at port.
