  4. I would go and get it done! ;) Mention my experience. It they are reasonable folks they will no mind it.
    If they already know about this issue no problem. If they don't they can save a headache and more importantly time of their tech. And that is $$ saved. Also, setting the number of hours correctly allows better resource planing and as well as customer support. Remember first they told me 1 hour labour!

  5. I was advised to have it done when my 3 yr service is due in October, as there is a shortage of BSC-2 fluid (probably from giving extra containers away for free- just in case after TSB is completed :D) and what is available are going to EVs displaying an error.
    Of course, if my vehicle displays that issue, they will replace it sooner.

  8. Forgive me if I posted this before. My 2022-23 Kona has blue coolant but is not subject to the TSB. Improved coolant?

    Does the owners manual describe any specifications for various fluids, including the coolant?

    If so, they may list the specification for the coolant fluid (and you can post it here for comments).

  10. Check if your car is part of the recall range anyway. If you qualify get it done. I had a new battery too. It was replaced in Feb 2021 with blue coolant. Now it was part of the recall again and redone.

    Not sure the cost is for each or total for 3.

    The picture of the coolant you provided is the same V1 coolant I had bought last year (at a discount for hedging the cost of the fluid change):

    This is all V1 stuff that is no longer viable.

    Both yours (gold/copper container) and mine (green) have the same product number 07100-J2A20. If yours is no longer available and I just got mine a couple of days back what gives? :rolleyes:

    As a joke, I created that graphic with the different prices for the three possible uses of the same transmission fluid. Sorry if it was confusing.

    I'm reading the T9E TSB more closely as prelim for going in for my coolant-swap appointment.

    It makes reference to a "javara hose" to insert down into the reservoir to pump out coolant.
    What is that?? A type, or some obscure brand? My google-fu basically fails.

    No clue abut the hose, but here is another coolant related issue to consider. Mine was change twice already, when the replacement battery was installed and a couple of weeks back due to the blue coolant recall.

    Folks also have motor/transmission (rumbling) noise complaints. This issue is covered by TSB 22-EV-001H-1. Of course the disassembly of the the drive system as described by the TSB will also result in draining and the refilling the blue coolant in the car. Since it seems to be a finicky item I assume it will new, not reused.

  22. Google images seem to indicate that it's a short, smaller diameter length of hose appended to a main bulkier hose, presumably to get into the fill opening in the reservoir.

    If that's what it is, then I have an entire set of them that can daisy-chain to get my shop-vac hose
    into smaller and smaller spaces. Heh

    I'll try to remember to ask the service guys when I take the car in.
