  1. I'm glad that the schedule worked out in your favor. It just goes to show how random the scheduling process works. I ordered mine in mid-June and you will probably have yours before me.

  3. Hello fellow Montrealer. I was told similar. Ordered on Sept 30th and was told my MINI is expected to show up on Dec 10th. Faster than expected.

Québec always gets the sweet sweet EV rebates. Looking at the Canada iZEV $5,000 rebate data (Oct 31, 2022) the top three provinces are:
    QC - 42.5% (601)
    BC - 36.3% (513)
    ON - 14.9% (210)

That is pretty much 93.7% of the Canadian SEs (1,414 as of Oct 31, 2022).

Yep, in a land with an abundant supply of clean, (99.7%) renewable electricity, our center-right government thinks “transport electrification” means adding thousands more electric cars to the roads, while all of our suburban, regional, and intercity trains are push-pull diesels. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I wouldn’t even considering the trains an actual “network” infrequent hours, delays and spotty route. REM will be an actual network

Yeah, I'm really happy with how the multi-tone roof turned out. It reminds me of a traditional white-topped Mini from the front, and a meaner one from the back.

I'm a little on-the-fence though about the white mirror caps though; it does go with the front of the multi-tone and the satellite gray seats, but I think black mirror caps might go better, as the other trim below the roof is blacked out.

I thought the multi-toned roof looked nice, but I live in hail-storm alley. (My roof has been replaced three times in the last decade due to hail.) If my MINI gets hailed on, I figured it would be easier to get repainted if I didn't have a multi-tone roof, so I didn't get it.

Anyone have a bill of lading number for a recent WW ship to Baltimore?

I see folks in BMW forums saying that WW BOLs are of the format A[shipID]01 (like AEA22501 for vessel Don Carlos; ship ID: EA225)... but that's not working for recent Southampton->Baltimore ship IDs; only Bremerhaven, Germany->New York ship IDs. Wondering if there's a different BOL format for us MINI folks.

I wanted the multi tone roof but my wife used her veto power

It's good strategy to over-reach on some small part of a new car so you can compromise on the new car you chose. My wife was apprehensive about the SE not having 4 doors so I suggested a red SE, which she vetoed and chose grey. When the SE arrived a mere 51 weeks after placing the order, she loved it.

Because she's not a 3-pedal person, this is the first time my wife has been able to drive the fun car in the family. It never occurred to me how that would turn me into the passenger when we go anywhere together.

  19. My Mini is on the Donington and is expected in Brunswick on Dec 16th. It will probably take another week to get to the dealership, so I may get it next week. The only bright spot is that Mini just lowered the financing rate to 3.99% APR on the SE.

Almost exactly 6 months for this frustrating journey. I sure hope it was worth the wait.

Two years after my 51-week wait for my SE (I ordered before production began), and I'm still telling everyone who will listen it's the best car and most fun car I've ever owned. Definitely worth the wait.

Be happy you decided not to wait for the J01 SE from wherever it's built--customers for that MINI will be waiting more than 6 months.

My sentiments exactly, and I'm exactly the same, ordered the day it was announced and waited a year for delivery.

The wife is ecstatic, our moonwalk grey Mini Cooper SE is home.
Thank you all for commiserating over the shared struggle waiting for our promised vehicles. First world problems, haha.
