I dropped a detailed "submission" into EA's website, pointing out among other
things that the theoretical max charge rate is reported by the car because
that's exactly what it's supposed to do, per the ISO15118 spec. What it WILL
actively accept right now is a different number. It's not the car's fault, it's EA
looking at the wrong number and that's at a MINIMUM what they need to fix
in their chargers. And move to kWh-based billing, obvoiusly, which would
render the time problem moot but introduce different ways they can gouge
via markup.
EA is selling a lot of Teslas. That should be "motivation" enough.
