In the current version, you long-press the Pause button to cancel.

Ok, so slightly different. As opposed to 2 clicks/taps currently.

I was unaware of the old pause functionality since I never wanted to press Cancel. The new arrangement makes slightly more sense. And you can still "cancel route" by voice though I've never succeeded in pausing this way.

I haven't done any updates. It sounds like a DIY nightmare.

I've done the map updates twice since I got my Kona EV back in April. It's not a DIY nightmare at all if you can read and follow instructions.
