DO IT! I gotta tell you, if you are interested in the beige interior, the Touring model is definitely worth the additional 3K. The beige cloth seats have gray insert panels and the plastic fake beige dash and door panels are yuck. The leather seats with suede dash/door is really classy. The black Base is actually OK. If you've got two drivers, the power seats with 2 memory setting is great. So we went for the extra 3k. Just do it! You can turn around and sell it for the same price next year, but you wont want to.

Thank you LaFord, i was able to get a 2019 touring (burgandy with beige) for 29000 plus ttl. I was talking with about five dealers, most wanted between 31 and 32, i had to bring up the 6000 rebate. Some dealers were flat out lying and saying that the rebate does not exist.

Hi guys, is this $6K Honda rebate state specific or nationwide? Because the $3K ZEV rebate was not for the non-ZEV residents.
So, is this $6K available for Pennsylvania resident also? For eg. I'm a PA resident and if I buy from MD or NJ, one of the ZEV states, will they be able to give the $6K rebate, because for the $3K rebate, they don't? Does Costco price already include this $6K or you have to ask the dealer to reduce $6K from the Costo price? Thanks for your answers!

Doesn't work with Hondas. Will work with Toyotas though. Honda needs to change this ASAP. I bought a different brand because of this.

6K rebate is cash in hand (not to be confused with state/federal tax incentives) and is from Honda to the dealers in CA and OR residents only. This 6K is then used by dealers at their discretion to negotiate with you. Because I am with Costco Auto, they have to give it to me in full.
Costco Auto can only get you a 'low' price and if you go through the program, dealer has to show you the invoice price and all incentives at dealer must be passed at 100% to you. Unfortunately I dont think the 6k goes is available to PA residents and it's not related to Costco, it's a Honda offer to its dealers. As far as flying, remember you have to title the car in CA/OR for that 6k, so you would need an address there and figure out how to keep that 6k if CA/OR find out you reregistered the car in another state. I don't think that will work but I don't know much about that.

Might be helpful if everyone puts down the same format, breaking out the costs, with a final out the door price so we an all compare apples to apples. Just my .02! Congrats on the deal.
I keep reading that the trick is to talk to dealers on the phone and negotiate over that 6k hard on phone/online before even going in, so you can eliminate the resistant dealers. Of course, if you use Costco Auto dealer they have to give you the 6k up front, although they can still jigger with the MSRP starting price to thin down the deal to their advantage.
6K deal expires April 1 2019!
I prefer to communicate by email; easier to manage pressure and gets the quote in writing. I always then ask for the OTD with a breakdown so I can see if any other fees/options/etc are being assumed. The Costco dealers usually want to talk on the phone, which is okay because the pricing is basically fixed; I then ask them to send me that quote by email. In California, the OTD price should generally be the negotiated price + max $85 doc fee + ~$400 in DMV registration fees for the Clarity's price range + sales tax (7.5-8.5% depending on where you live). You can check the fees from the DMV's website calculator.
FYI I just paid $26495 + TTL for a base model in NorCal -- would have been less but I had to pay for $200 in "dealer installed options" as they were trading to get the car from another dealer. That brought it back to the Costco quote here (but that dealer was far away and only had a color I really didn't want), so I went for it.
My experience was that many of the local Internet sales folks pretended or legitimately didn't know about the $6K incentive and sent prices in the $31K range. Even for the 2 Costco dealer reps I talked to I had to mention it before they looked it up and immediately applied it. Once you have one quote for lower the others all of a sudden realized they could come down quite a bit.

Yeah, it's published. So when a dealer says it doesn't exist, run, don't walk from there.
Just remember that Honda $6K expires Sunday. No idea if it will be extended, reduced or what.
The Costco-sponsored discount is around $1700. And don't forget the CA $1500 rebate and electric company rebate ($1000 from SCE, $800 PG&E). Someone from OR will have to add that state's rebates. All those are CASH in your pocket. That means around $10K off the sticker price! And then there's the Federal Tax Credit. Additional money on the table.
We drove 90 miles to get the model/color we wanted. Well worth the trip, I'd say.

Not to mention OR has no sales tax. There may be other fees, but that means a big bargain.
Those of us not in CA or OR are out of luck for the 2019's or the 6k off. I was set up to sign for a 2018 base in MN for 31,500 tomorrow then a previous dealer called back who was before stuck at 31,800 made an offer for 30k. Going to verify tomorrow morning. The last day of the month really is the best time to get a car.
Update: Starting yesterday the midwest is finally included with the honda incentive for the Clarity. I was previously stuck at 31,500 but was able to get it down to 29k or 31,400 after TTL. So it's not as good as the 6k on the west coast but probably close to 4-5k. Waiting until the last day of the month saved me $2500. Sounds like this dealer incentive will be available for 2 more weeks.

For anyone in Florida who is interested, holler Honda in Orlando is offering an additional $4000 incentive on top of their already reduced price for the Honda clarity - this deal just started on Saturday, March 30th and has not yet been updated on their website, but its readily displayed when you get to the lot. They have about 6 left in stock. I just picked up a base model for $25,999 plus ttl. I was going to go for the touring but it’s a $4000 difference in pricing for leather, power seats, and nav. The latter two I would rarely use. I also don’t trust the suede - 1) it is somewhat odd and polarizing and I think will effect resale 2) It makes the car appear to have too many textures, you have wood grain, black soft touch plastic, beige leather, and then also the suede - it’s a little too much. 3) who knows how it will stand up to the test of time - with all the room in the front seat Someone might cross thei legs for a long car ride and dirt might wipe off from their shoe onto the dash or the side door panel, or if anyone has anything on his/her hands and they touch the beige suede, it will show. That’s going to be very hard to get off. Also I didn’t realize that the cloth seats are not all cloth, only the inlays are, the rest is still a leatherette. I have now been driving the base model for two days and am not at all regretful that I didn’t get the touring. Plus, with the 7500 federal tax credit, this car’s price comes down to sub $20,000 which is ridiculously good for the quality car you are getting.
