Just upgrading to a higher resolution screen won't help.... Honda will need to upgrade both camera with resolution match with the higher resolution screen to make it HD, otherwise they can only scale it digitally which won't help resolution, or they will have to give us a option to not show the camera view in full screen.

EV Mode has limits for current draw over time.
You can use a long slow discharge and stay within limits until the battery is discharged or you can surge for a shorter period of time before demand calls the engine.
The battery is engineered with only so much discharge rate and then HV gives the battery a breather for another surge.
Althogh BEV's have much higher allowable loads, their battery management software will throttle the current draw temporarily as necessary.

Clarity fits our lifestyle much better than the Insight. I run several errands each day in town where I can charge between runs so the EV range is perfect. Currently, with the warm weather, electrons cost 1/6 that of gasoline to run (compared to my other car, not really a gas guzzler, which we would be using otherwise). With the Insight, fuel costs would be a bit less than half, still fantastic. There have been posters who don't have access to charging at home. I do think an Insight or Hybrid Accord would work better for them. Heck, there are so many choices out there for fuel efficient, nice to drive cars that it makes no sense to drive a gas guzzler anymore (other than for work needs and towing).
Hopefully, that extended charging time occurs only with EVSEs that previously caused charging to halt completely. Perhaps the update enables the Clarity to overcome a voltage fluctuation by resetting, pausing, then resuming charging. That will be a problem if you're paying for time at a public EVSE.

My read is that bulletin is pretty clearly saying that it'll charge more slowly with bad power quality, which is an improvement over not charging at all if the power quality is bad. This would not apply to all situations, and it sounds like 1.5 times slower is a worst-case scenario; if it were universal Honda would be opening themselves up to a class-action lawsuit over their (accurate) claims that the car can fully charge in 2.5 hours.
I do wonder what their definition of bad power quality is, though--low voltage, noise, or both. I also wonder if this is the fix for those situations where the charger registers a fault (my Siemens has twice so far, and apparently some public chargers are much twitchier), or if this is for a situation where the car itself stops the charging rather than the charger.
Well, just a short time will tell the truth on this one, once people start reporting charge times after applying the update. My view is that the charging system in the Clarity must have a component that was at its design limit with 6.6kW coming in and public EVSEs that pushed that limit and caused the behavior observed early on by @M.M would cause the charger to shut down or hiccup just enough that the EVSE believed it should stop sending electrons. The real mystery here is why this only happened at public charging stations?

I don’t think it has a 6.6 kW/hr limit since my ChargePoint Home routinely charges my Clarity at 7.1 to 7.2 kW/hr with no problems. I’d guess that it’s power fluctuations or noise on public EVSEs (if you forced me to guess).

I think it's actually a 30a limit, 30a at 220v is 6.6 kW(I guess Honda put 6.6 kw because a lot of public chargers are 220v??) ,30a at 240v is 7.2kW (I have also seen 7.1ish kw)

Thanks, that makes a lot of sense. My CP Home is direct wire with a short run of 8-2 wire so it gets the full 240V (verified by Volt-ohm Meter) so car charges at 7.1 to 7.2 kW/hr.
Most public EVSEs charge (no pun intended) by the hour so they make more money if they supply the car charger with lower kW/hr.

Some public EVSEs are on a commercial three-phase supply which gives 208V rather than the more common household split-phase (two 120V legs for a nominal 240V), which may also account for somewhat lower charging rates at those sites.

I have my Open EVSE wired into the AC breakers since I don't have extra slot and the EVSE can goes up to 50A but the current draw is limited by the car charger to 32A. From minimum battery to full charge take 2.3-2.5 hrs

I'm not due to bring in my car for service until another 3 months, should I go in to get these service builtins taken care of before then? I haven't had any real problems with my Clarity other than the weird HV range drop.

Unfortunately, there is no way on car, Honda Link app, or any Honda web site to check and see that there are any Open Sefvice Bulletins for our Claritys that I know of.
You can use your VIN to check for recalls on both Honda and Govt sites but these are only for safety related major issues.
However, sometimes people report a new update is available (got by buying a subscription to Honda Tech??) and even less often will report they were notified by Honda of one. I’ve never been notified by Honda a depend on this forum to know when to have my dealer install them. One Canadian owner (lorem101, 10/5/18) has posted a notice he got on his Honda Link about a “campaign ID” on the water valve problem.
Be forewarned, many have reported that their dealer was reluctant to install them or even check do them. And that some flat out lied to keep from doing it by saying it wasn’t for your VIN (when SB said for all VINs) or its already updated (when it wasn’t). It seems you will have a better chance of success if you go in with the Service Bulletin numbers in hand and prepared to counter their BS.
Fortunately I have a good dealer who couldn’t find them in his computer, but cheerfully looked up the SB #s I gave him and said no problem, we can have it done in an hour.
I wish Honda had a better system for handling Sevice Bulletin updates.

Abnormal water temperature reading: SB 18-090. For this one, they ordered a part and said it will take several hours and they would have to disassemble the entire dashboard.
In my case, the service advisor went to his computer, looked up my car by vin and said: you have 4 product updates available.

Another Service Bulletin, 18-090, calls for the replacement of the Climate Control Unit. I suspect that this may also be related to problems with the heating water control since the issue corrected is described as coming up when running the heater. These two Service Bulletin updates are to be done at the same time along with a new software update, 18-091, to correct the HV mileage issue. All three (3) Service Bulletins are part of a recall campaign for the affected Clarity automobiles.

Yesterday (10/4/2018), my wife had another Multiple Systems Warnings episode. This time I was not there to reset things so I decided to call the dealer and get the fix (TSB 18-079) and well as the HV mileage update (TSB 18-069). The service adviser was surprised at my call as just a few minutes earlier, he was given notice of a recall campaign to fix these (and a couple of other) issues. I had the software updates done this afternoon (10/5/2018) and got paper copies of the four (4) relevant Service Bulletins:
18-089: EVTC & 3-way Valve software update for DTC's P100C, P0010, and P26A3 (this replaces 18-079)
18-090: Climate Control Unit Replacement
18-091: Driver Display Software Update (Mileage) (this replaces 18-069)
18-096: Warranty Information CD
The parts were ordered so that the service needed for 18-090 and 18-096 could be done in a future visit.
All the Service Bulletins are dated 10/4/2018 except for 18-091 which is dated 9/21/2018. The four mentioned Service Bulletins are all lumped together (all mentioned in all Service Bulletins) and the owners all affected vehicles (determined by VIN) will be sent a notification of the campaign.
