Would be interested in the size tires/wheels people are putting on their snow package.

Great info. How do you know this size will be OK? How much will the speedometer be off? Did you have to get the pressure sensors? Thanks for the info
The Clarity uses its wheel rotation sensors to detect tires with low pressure. There are no pressure sensors inside the tires. Some posters on this forum have installed a supplemental system that reports the actual tire pressure on a small display inside the car.

I use this link for my tire sizing data, https://www.wheel-size.com/calc/ The calculator comes up with .1% difference in circumference. The 17 inch wheel on the chart is the wheel I got off of an Accord.

Discount Tire has information on which aftermarket wheels and tires will fit the Clarity. Go to the first web site below, type in the year, make, model, and trim and you'll see all the options.
In the second web site, you can type in various tire sizes and see how they compare to the OEM size (235/45-18) and check on speedo differences among other things. The first number is the width of the tire in mm, the second number is a ratio between tire width and sidewall height, and the third number is the wheel size.

I believe the stock offset is 50, recent Accord rims appear to be 55, at least two of the sets that I looked at 55 offset.

Also, after doing quite a bit of checking, it seemed that snow tires in the 17 inch size seemed to be the most readily available and generally the best price. Conventional wisdom seems to be to use a slightly narrower tire for snows than for your summer/all-season tires. I would also mention that as the Clarity is a heavier car then most it's size, make sure you check the load rating of the tires. Check with the tire supplier, but I think you would want a load index in the 90's.
I went to the discount tire site and found a set of Michelin X ice with low rolling resistance tires in the 215 55 17 size. It doesn't show me the wheels or doesn't offer the 17" option. Someone had said get wheels for an Accord but can someone put a link to an inexpensive set of wheels this can be mounted on that will fit the Clarity? The tires are about $145 a piece before rebate. Thanks

I have a set of Moda MD21 17” wheels that I used on my ‘16 Accord Touring for my winter tires. I’ve been trying to find out on the web if they fit. Both my Honda dealer and NTB where I got the wheels said just to try them on the car and see if they fit. Seems like a practical approach but as I am as handy as a turnip I’m a tad worried that I might miss something. Does anyone see a downside to this? The wheels have Michelin XIce 215/55R 17 tires, which I don’t think will work but reusing the wheels at least would be nice.

I got 17" steel rims.from Canadian Tire with 50 offsets for about CAD$50. The 50 offsets weren't easy to find. I needed to get hub centric rings though.
Remember though when you go down a tire size, the width is also going to go down therefore the Offset will go down. I'm thinking around a 42 offset on a 17x7 rim would be close. Wheel is 20mm less width, that means if the tire is centred where the original rims were the tires will be inset by 10mm. We may need a 40mm or 42mm offset to be close on a 17 inch rim if you would like the wheel to not look like its set in too much. Although since we are talking mm and that is so small, I think 40-45mm would be the best. Even 50 should be fine but that would push the tire out 10 mm. I think we have around 30mm spacing from the rear fender.
