Anyone else have their hondalink stop working last few days? Mine was stuck showing the 27th at 7ish am with the climate controls on. Can't remotely turn them on yesterday or today. Tried relogging into the app and now it's totally blank.

Also the app updated yesterday (28th) so guessing they broke something but wanted to see if others are working

Honda Link is completely trash. Hasn't worked right more or less since the day it came out, and time hasn't exactly been kind to hondalink.

Hondalink reports "Data is unavailable" when I refresh. It doesn't know my Clarity is plugged in and when I try to turn on climate, it says "Unable to Connect to "HondaLink""

Yeah I use it daily to start climate control (auto once, manual second). I reported via app if you all want to too

I have also recently experienced the "Data is Unavailabe" message from HondaLink. I started getting the message a few hours before the system maintenance message was received. I called HondaTech support on Friday and my issue was sent to an upper level for review. What made the tech lady send the issue to a higher level was that the menu item for "Diagnostic & Location Data" was not available on the Clarity center display. I would ask others, both those who cannot get data from HondaLink and those who still can get data, to see if the menu item is missing. One can check by selecting "Home" on the center display. Then select Settings" and then select "Info." There should be a "HondaLink" tab (along with "All", "Clock", and "Other" tabs). I do not have the "HondaLink" tab. Selecting the "HondaLink" tab gives the "Diagnostic & Location Data" menu item. See page 270 of the owners manual for the 2018 Clarity.

BTW, I can still use an OBD dongle to check the SOC and the battery capacity. Last November I had a battery capacity of 49.86 Ah. Since then the system reset the battery capacity data to 54.98 Ah (measured today when I used the dongle to get the traction battery SOC). I wonder if my problems with the HondaLink connection are related to a data possible system reset.

I am asking if any other Clarity owners see or do not see the "HondaLink" tab, with the "Diagnostics & Location Data" menu item. Thanks for your help. Please note that I am not asking about the "HondaLink" selection item in the "Home" menu page as i can see that (where I see no HondaLink connection available under the "Vehicle" selection item).

Neither of my Clarity's can be accessed via the Hondalink app now -- both are receiving the "Data is unavailable" message. Last successful data updates were Aug 23 and 25. Prior to this, the HondaLink app has been very reliable.

In post #6 above I asked Clarity owners to check a menu in the central display unit. In speaking with HondaLink tech support on Friday, I understand there could be two things going wrong. The vehicle's Telematics Control Unit that that communicates by the cell phone network (AT&T I understand) with the HondaLink server could be broken or the server code that authenticates (and activates) HondaLink for a vehicle could be the problem. To help determine the cause, Honda asked me to look at the "Diagnostic & Location Data" and menu item on my central display. To everyone's surprise, that menu item was missing from my Clarity's display!

To help determine if this display item is widespread, I asked Clarity owners to check for the menu item in their Clarities. I again ask this especially of those who have reported a data problem. Please check this to help get to the resolution of the problem. Thanks,

LeoP

No HondaLink tab. My last data was 8/27.

When I turned the car on I did get a HondaLink display on the infotainment screen for a moment before it went to the home screen.

I tried to start climate control from the app on my phone. Got a dialog stating there was a network error.

Danks,

Thanks for checking your central display. Now that more than one person has the missing HondaLink tab, it is probable that the problem is with the HondaLink activated accounts database. I am glad that it appears that my TCU module (cell phone network connection) is not bad. HondaLink tech support is supposed to get back to me on Tuesday. I wonder is this issue only affects Clarities and if affects all or only some.

Like everyone else. App stopped working on 8/28. Hopefully this get this fixed. I use it daily to calculate my charge time.

Just checked mine, and the HondaLink tab is also missing from Home -> Settings -> Info. Were you able to hear back from Honda on what the resolution will be?

No HondaLink Tab.

Getting Data Unavailable since Friday and the app shows no data for gas and battery ranges or for the odometer. I had an open ticket for over 2 months that they were trying to fix because I wasn't getting any notifications to plug in if my battery was below a certain level or when it reached 100%. They finally called me Friday and said to sign out and sign back in as they had fixed it. Well...now it's broke for real, NO DATA AVAILABLE.
