Software Updates

I haven’t noticed any major issues after the latest update—everything seems to be running smoothly! Previously, the Tesla accessory I bought, a head-up display
, had a minor issue syncing after an update, but thankfully everything seems fine now.
 
Thanks for the link to that Tesevo Head-Up Display. I'm not likely to buy a Tesla, but I'm glad a company was able to provide for the M3/MY what I consider an essential part of a car: Driving info in front of the driver. Watching the video, however, makes it clear the installation of this HUD isn't for rookies.

The installation video does look a bit complicated, but honestly, I think it’s manageable with some patience. I really like this little gadget—it’s compact and super convenient. There are a few minor drawbacks, but overall, I’m really happy with it!
 
Then there is the option of GPS based racing App on a cell phone mounted on dash or steering column.

And yet one of the things I like BEST about my M3 (especially at night) is NOT having a display directly ahead of me. The info I need to see is well within the range of my vision on the center screen - I don't need to turn my head or even shift my eyes to see it. Besides, I've never been able to see the complete display behind the steering wheel in any car I've driven that had one - because the steering wheel has been in the way of at least part of the information!

Updates are specific to different vehicles and different models of each vehicle - and whether or not one paid for FSD. Could you, please, include the software ID number?

I'm certain that having the local speed-limit and the speedo in front of me on my MINI Electric's easily visible HUD has been a crucial factor in helping me avoid speeding tickets.

A HUD isn't shining lights into your eyes while you drive - and it's not hidden behind the steering wheel.
