I just bought 2025 Ioniq 5 N!

Shifts & Giggles, but I haven’t posted much in a long time. Will keep forum updated with any fun progress. Otherwise, I think the N is the most fun EV ever.

We MINI Cooper SE drivers and roundabout conquerors would disagree. Of course, your N is much quicker and with all that interior space it's more utilitarian, but we've chosen handling over N-level quickness, longer range, greater passenger and cargo capacity, and easy access to dealers because our car's handling defines fun for us.

We certainly share one joy: Your N, like our MINIs, includes a rear wiper.

Ha! Glad you like your Mini. Fun for sure. However, I’m up for a handling contest anyplace, anytime, anwhere
Perhaps you are not familiar with the Ioniq 5 N’s race car cup suspension? Space? Not familiar with the Mini, but the Ioniq has tons of space and storag and people room. Power and quickness you already admitted favors the Ioniq N. Speaking of FUN…the N brings simulated trans, rpm, and engine sounds…..which compliments the handling like no other EV to date. To each their own, but I don’t see any advantage to the Mini….except maybe range. You don’t buy the N for range. You buy it for the thermodynamic management, track, handling, fun, simulations, etc.

The EPA rated my MINI Cooper SE at 110-miles of range which is less than half your Ioniq 5N's range. Your Ioniq 5N could leave my MINI in the dust anywhere but around roundabouts or, perhaps, through the tightest Autocross courses. The MINI's only performance advantage is its light weight (3,144 lbs vs. 4,861 lbs).

Oh I see. After my first Autocross, I might have to give the mini the nod. The N surprisingly was too heavy for the tight course that day. Didn’t use drift mode, but I think your mini and lighter weight might have given the N a good run.
