Here's a mod:

Playing around with the black plastic on the front end using MS Paint (apologies for the lack of photoshop skills or even software)
Kinda makes it look less spaceshipy.
What do you think?

I thought I’d grab a can of white plastidip and test it.

Wow! The Honda design team should give you a job. I have the white and that definitely looks much better. I’ll take the 4th picture.

I do not like the chrome on the car either. I had the window trim wrapped in black vinyl and am debating doing the front grill in gloss black vinyl as well.

Switched from collision mitigation to collision prevention. BF Goodrich Comp 2 summer performance tires - braking performance (60mph to stop) 79.4’ vs 98.3’ for the stock Michelin’s. Gain 20% better stopping distance and lose about 5-8% on battery distance. I have already had one oh **** incident - got stopped with 15’ to spare from 45mph and I was thinking I was gonna hit. Sweet. And handling is so much improved.

I bet the sidewalks are much stiffer to help with initial turn in and feel.

Did you get the exact OEM tire size?

The sidewalks seem to look less curved and the tread wider. I’ve seen many aftermarket tires with the exact same tire Spec as OEM have an actual wider tread and much squarer sidewalls.

Yes I have the exact OEM tire size. They manage the heavier weight in the turns better. I love the improvement in road feel.

I was looking at the Continental ExtremeContact DWS 06 - thinking of putting a set of these on before the wet weather starts again. I had these on another vehicle and they performed well in the wet Seattle area. They are rated highly on tirerack.

My wife went with BFGoodrich g-Force COMP-2 All Seasons - very nice tires - less expensive than Continental and maybe a bit better according to tire rack. Very good in the wet.

I replaced the horns, the OEM horns get no respect at best and could be dangerous if the other driver is hard of hearing. Had a person pull into a business driveway and then just stopped partly in the turn for no reason that we could see - no dogs, kids, people, cars in the way, etc... which left my tail-end out in the street on a busy road. They did move after we honked but it was an embarrassing honk and I wasn't even sure they would move their car.

We installed the PIAA 85115 Superior Bass Horns. The connectors are different (spade) on the new horns, was just going to solder the wires directly to the new horns, but the solder wouldn't wick to the wire, not sure what type of wiring is in the car - odd.... So we used the crush type connectors, which I like to stay away from if at all possible. The horns now sound much louder and is also a better quality. I'm sure there are better horns out there and looks to me like there is space for a horn with a compressor if you are into that.

Hard to believe that Honda saved much money installing such cheap horns on a very expensive car (to me)... Love the car even more now!

I live in SF and I use my honkers all the time for safety when people come over to my lane, etc. Could you show us how you did it please?

Was debating doing this until I saw a relatively new Accord with rusted calipers.
Also added a pic of the the rear suspension links and mount points. Look at all that aluminum.

Ever since it was pointed out that the white clarity (ours is red) looks like a storm trooper, I’ve wanted to update the “low speed music” (AVAS) to The (Darth Vader’s) Imperial March.

Now that is a GREAT idea .... anybody have any idea how to change the "music"??

Where can we get the cheaper Honda Accessories online?

College Hill Honda or HondaPartWorld?
When I ordered prices varied on a part by part basis. Also had to figure in shipping cost in order to determine how to save the most. In my car it was actually cheaper to order from 2 places and Pay 2 shipping charges. YMMV
