How to Track your MINI SE Build and Shipping

Call your MA every week asking for the VIN. Stop calling when they convince you they understand you want the VIN ASAP and promise to let you know the minute they receive it.
Now that I'm in full on CAN'T WAIT mode that'll probably end up happening. I think letting go of the i3 so early has me very anxious to replace it now.

How long is it generally before a VIN is available after you've got a production number? Do you always have to request that from the dealer as well?
When I got my production number from my advisor, I entered it in the My Garage site and MINI gave me the VIN. I didn't have the production number until after it started being built, so the VIN may not get assigned until it actually enters the production line.

My Garage showed your VIN after entering your production number? (Sorry, just clarifying. I already have production number loaded in My Garage.)

Thanks!

Ours is finally heading to Port so I assume at least a week at port? Then a month to get to us?
It takes only a day for the train ride from Plant Oxford to the UK port in Southampton. When it leaves the port depends on the shipping companies--they don't observe regular schedules like trains do.

How long it will take to get to you once it's on a ship depends on whether that ship has to go through the Panama Canal (when production shifts to China, the Panama delay will switch to East Coast deliveries). Where do you live?

You've given me an excuse to post this artificially disheartening photo again.

Thanks for the tip - still didn't work. I copied the address EXACTLY from the USPS lookup page, except the zip code, which only accepts 5 numbers.

No worries, i'm coming from a 6 month wait for a Tesla, only to finally see the car in person and not being able to accept the build quality. The wait for the Tesla was basically radio silence the entire time. I actually believe that experience was necessary for me to then re-visit the MINI and seriously investigate the utility of owning one. My wife and i are now convinced this is the EV for us. We already own an R53 as our toy, so we have been MINI fans for almost 10 years now.

FWIW I've tried it as well - I tried it with my current address, and then the address to which I am moving in the next month. No dice!

3rd person who can't get my garage to accept my address here. I tried with past 3 addresses, all correct, and simple addresses to boot. No dice. No response from mini support, when I emailed my salesperson about it he said "I think it want's your email address, not physical address" so that was not helpful haha.

I lucked into taking someone else's reservation after they got cold feet, so even though I ordered last week production is supposed to start this month! I want to track it damn you MINI!

Has anyone experienced the problem with not being able to register at mygarage.miniusa.com? Once i created an account and was able to login, i get sent to a page that wants my address and phone number.

I must have entered the info 10 times - different computers and browsers. The error always comes up

"This is not a valid address according to the U.S. Postal service. Proceeding with this address may result in an incomplete set of vehicles."

I used the contact link to send them a message explaining the problem, but no response. Once i get a production number or VIN from my dealer, i guess i'm out of luck and won't be able to track it.

Well i finally was able to add my address into mygarage.miniusa.com. Apparently they fixed the website. Just to make sure, i logged out and back in. I was not prompted for my address, so it must have stuck. I still have not received a production number or VIN (2022-02-28 order date), but at least i will be able to enter the info once i get it.

Thaks for posting that. I toyed with the idea of bailing and reordering to get the heated wheel. If I did that I would be past the 2023 deadline.

Update: 2023 SE Sig+ began production on 26MAY, a month sooner than anticipated. Looking at late July delivery instead of October.

On 21 June, my order left Southampton Port on Donington, headed to Bremerhaven Germany. It's been moored there since 23 June. Why is it killing me?!
:D

Anyone know the port and route the countryman goes through leaving Netherlands ? I ordered a countryman S to go with my SE lol. And it’s not leaving out of Southampton… it’s at the port and really curious how the route would be… thx
