I emailed with them online today asking about markups. No anxwer yet so I suspect they are trying to hide what you stated. I told them I would go out of state for MSRP if need be we shall see .

Jenkins is as shady as they come. I believe @FloridaSun has a bad experience with them also. Quoted one thing & presented a crazy markup after making the trip.

Hyundai of Central Florida is currently at $2k markup and supposedly no dealer fee but, no Limited AWDs.

Holler Hyundai (Winter Park, FL) is $3k markup plus a $799 dealer fee but, no Limited AWDs.

If you are looking for an SE or SEL, I would try both. If you have a trade, the only negotiating you can do is try to get the markup difference in the trade $ to even things out.

I'll let you know tomorrow. We're traveling to Edmond Hyundai in Edmond OK to look at a loaded Limited. They seem to get an usual number of Ionic5's compared to Dallas. If they try to tack on ADM I'm going to be really ticked.

I thought that I had posted about this and was going to update my info. We wanted to look and possibly buy a Limited AWD, (since our Tesla 3 has been repeatedly pushed back on delivery) and had talked with a salesman in Edmond OK, (Edmond Hyundai). I gave him a VERY specific description of the car that we would be interested in. Limited, Dual-Motor AWD, in one of three colors...this was after he kept trying to tell me that there was very little difference between the SEL and the Limited, (BS). He emailed the VERY next day saying that he had what I wanted, would I like to put a deposit on it so it would still be here when we made the 3 hour drive from Dallas to see it. I did and we went up today. I should mention that when I asked the price he said it was $58K which surprised me since I hadn't seen one higher than $57K. We drove up today and when we got there we were in for several surprises especially after he kept telling me that the buyer experience is what they strive for. First, the car hadn't even been cleaned up, then when we drove it we realized that it was in fact, an SEL, NOT the Limited that I had been very adamant about. The MSRP was $51K and change, but by the time they added $2K in crap - only one of which I would want was the window tint at an over-priced $600, and then the small $5K additional dealer markup that took it to $58K. I had asked about this before we made the trip and he had been pretty elusive saying that he didn't deal with pricing but the sales manager would discuss that with us, again total BS. So it was my fault for not being more thorough before driving up, but I was pissed. The only good thing about the day was that while on the way up, the Tesla Model 3 that had been pushed back on delivery from December to May had magically been moved up to March. Yay! I will say that we really do like the Ioniq5 and IF it had been the car we were told it was, would've been a tough decision.

Dealers that are selling at MSRP are typically going to tell you that up front regardless of whether they are a junior sale guy just hired or the sales manager. When the price is hard to come buy just hang up the phone and move on. The SEL lacks a Heat Pump, Surround View Monitor, Blind Spot Monitor, Parking Collision Avoidance Assist, Rain Sensing Wipers, Vehicle To Load (V2L), Relaxation Drivers Seat, Ventilated Front Seats, Remote Parking Assist, Head Up Display, Memory Seats, Rear Shades, Cargo Cover, Digital Key, Panoramic Roof and the nice glass black exterior bits. Practically the same, right. ‍♂️ Here is a PDF from the spread sheet I created off Hyundai press release that makes the differences very apparent. They were vague about that passenger seat and there is an option Canada got that we which explains the other blank(s) but are there for context. The ventilated seats are a must in TX and the other stuff quite handy and keeping you safe in my option. The panoramic roof is a one up on the Model 3 with the retractible cover and ride comfort worlds apart I've heard. Good luck finding your next purchase regardless of what it may be. #limitedbabyforme The #shootingstar makes me want to try matte paint. Digital Teal nice but the charge cover paint (flexible plastic formulation paint) doesn't match. Phantom Black is easy to wrap and Arctic White the coolest temp color but with zero metal flake leaves me with #CyberGray that has a touch pf metallic as second place but I haven't seen the Lucid Blue in person to see if it has any metal flake.

The good news is that our Tesla is on it's way, the continual moving back of the delivery date was the whole reason to consider the Ioniq5 - although if the Tesla wasn't an option, was a very nice car. I have obviously driven both several times and have no complaints about the ride quality in either although the Tesla has a LOT more grunt if you want to put your foot to the floor. My wife likes the twin screen arrangement of the dash as opposed to the single, center-mounted screen in the Tesla - and I told her IF we could ever see a Limited, she'd love the heads-up display that I loved in my Corvette. It's over now, we'll just wait for the Tesla and I will write my review of Edmond Hyundai...nice people, but not upfront about their practices.

It’s a shame Tesla never did a HUD and the aftermarket ones are not nice at all. Hope your pickup finds a perfectly fitted and finish vehicle. #cheers

Elon claims no one needs a HUD, but I've never heard him justify the instrumentation in front of the driver that only the high-priced Models S and X get. Need or not, Elon should offer a $5K HUD--I think he'd be surprised how many people would fork over that amount of money.

Has anyone found a dealer in California that doesn't charge a "market adjustment"? My local dealer in San Jose is charging $5K for all the trims of the Ioniq5 a price I don't want to pay. Is there any issue of losing the Federal tax credit on the Ioniq5 before the "market adjustments" are discontinued because supply meets demand?

With all the distractions these days--especially the upcoming mid-term elections, what are the chances the US Congress will be working this year on any bill that affects EV tax credits? Probably about the same chance that you'll find an Ioniq 5 selling at MSRP in California.

As of December 2021, Hyundai still had 185,000 (or so) vehicles to sell that will be eligible for Federal tax credits.

no markup at all for my new SE at Johnson Hyundai in Cary, NC, a suburb of Raleigh drove it home today for MSRP and they've got a bunch

Were you able to negotiate down/away the paint-protection ($900) and seat protection mark-ups ($500)? The add-ons didn't show up when going through the online pricing, but the in-person sales rep brought them up after our test drive and did not seem willing to negotiate on them.

Revision two (updated passenger seat information). I pulled passenger seat info from the Hyundai Media Center Newsroom. Somehow this format that combines pricing, spec and feature in to one sheet, I find a more useful tool. I saw in a review that the glove box doesn't lock and I can't find any place in this vehicle to secure valuables after reviewing the owners manual. I wonder if the glove drawer Europe and Korea got, had a lock? Maybe there is an aftermarket safe that can be secured to the BEV under the false floor.‍

In keeping with the original title of this thread (dealers selling w/out markups), I came across this reddit post that has links to a crowdsourced list of dealers of all types (and multiple vehicle types).
https://www.reddit.com/r/Ioniq5/comments/ri4gxy/dealer_markup_tracker_usa/

That reddit page has a link where you can add your dealer to the list, but also links to the underlying Google sheet with all the data. Which BTW can be easily imported to desktop Excel with a few clicks so you can sort and filter more easily (Data | Get and Transform Data | From Web | URL).

Good luck everyone!

I'm confused - this is showing the SE RWD not available in any color, and the SEL RWD only in white? That doesn't seem right. Are the sold out for 2022?
