What's fun about a Tesla? I chose agility over range and acceleration and never looked back. It will be interesting to see which car leaves your garage more often.
Now having driven the Mini for two days, I can make an intelligent comparison... and they aren't really comparable at all. Previously I had a 2016 Tesla Model X and a 2010 Tesla Roadster and people would often ask me which one was "better" or "more fun". The truth is they are both fun (the Mini and the Model X), but both very different. The Plaid Model X is brutally fast, tomb silent, has a luxuriously smooth ride with the new raven suspension, and has a ton more storage and passenger space. The Mini, on the other hand, is quick (not fast), nimble, cute, has excellent fit and finish, and costs 1/4 that of the Tesla. They both serve different purposes and are both excellent in their own ways.

Fair comparison - thank you!

Just sold our Model Y Performance this past weekend and agree with you. I got to test drive an Audi e-Tron for a weekend and the ride was just ridiculously supple smooth with the active air suspension. Throttle was very smooth/linear and not brutal compared to the Tesla. Hoping the SE we have inbound is a middle ground with a little bit of fun.

We purchased an inbound SE that's been at port since 1/25/22. Dealership said they are hoping for delivery next week.

Charge was 100%, GOM said 90 miles. SM said he pulled it before it was completely "done", 26 miles home and at 79%. Plugged in and 14 hours till 100%! o_O I know, the last 20% is the slowest. BY THE WAY, the electric dash trim is really nice, matte finish aside from the little specks. I really like it and the lounge leather. I was starting to question my roulette wheel decision but they do a nice job tying together the black trim and the chrome beltline. Super pleased with everything!

I just received my VIN from my sales and wanted to confirm that the chip shortage didn't affect my car. Anyone receive their cars recently and have any missing options?

Are any VIN decoders still working? I tried to call MINI Canada and they weren't able to give me any information. Going to try and call MINI North America as well.

Anyone else at the dock waiting for a boat to NYCPOA? My SE's been sitting there since 1-27...

This is not out of the ordinary. I think mine sat there about 20 days give or take.

I picked my Signature model on Friday. It is not missing anything.

Mine showed it arrived in Savannah, GA 1/25.

My sales rep told me it was put on a transport on 2/14 in Brunswick, GA and that it was out of the norm because they usually drop off at the port in Galveston, TX since we are in Houston, TX.

My status did change to in transit on 2/14 but now it shows its back at port again o_O.

Funny thing is that I put my VIN# in Google search and it shows a dead link to Mini of Mt Laurel in NJ for my car.

Did anyone get the extended warranty? I feel like I got ripped off on it. He kind of pushed it on to me and said I can always cancel it for a prorated fee. It was 2k for the 7 year/84k miles. Might just call him tmr to cancel it.
