+1Honestly the wait isn’t what bothers me. It’s the lack of communication.

some of tyhe expected changes for 2022 kind of make me want a 2022.
I've heard
- extended range
- power back into the house
- faster charge rates
- more hp
They must be premium floor mats (to match the new car). Maybe next time, order them separately. Hope all goes well on p/uwell just wanted to let folks know
3/21 - reservation placed
6/30 - $400 deposit locked in
10/28 - left the factory
AWD, pros, gradiant package, floor mats
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
11/17 - got message saying it was in the US
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
12/4 - Saw the dealer site said the car was there (no update to VW Portal). I called and it was there. They were closed Sunday and were prepping the car on Monday. Picking up Tomorrow 12/7.
12/5 - Drove up to get a sneak peak and it was there
12/6 - VW portal updated but no email from VW portal.
Warning to Maine buyers: My MSRP was $50,009 and maine rebat is less than $50K to I was over by $9 and will lose $2k because of this. Working on trying to get around this (since it was floor mats that put me over) but not sure if we will be able to. Dealer met me half way and discounted the car $1k.

Just got notice my AWD ‘Production on your ID.4 is complete.
My ID.4 got to the dealer last Thursday. It took days for them to get me a sales sheet so I could get that to my bank. They finally did that today and I am waiting for my bank to do its thing and send them a check.Got a note that my ID.4 was in the US - this is ~3 weeks since they say it left the factory. I contacted my dealer because I saw an EV listed on their site that looked suspiciously like mine and I didn't want them selling mine. He said they list vehicles when they hit the port. So - good idea to contact your dealer as soon as you get that VW email.
Now I need to decide on lease or purchase. There is a 50/50 chance that I will be leaving the country in 3 years. Even if not - the lease deal seems good to me. That will be a different thread - happy to do that!
"... car-net: Make sure it's setup while at the dealer ...
Brian:
This is a GREAT tip. Thanks!
Can you possibly expand a bit?
What might be a reasonable test to perform at the dealer BEFORE "drive-away?"
(Hopefully I'll be performing this check within a week or so)
Sure, glad to help.... please explain “HomeLink” issue and how you obtained at no additional charge ...
