Thanks. I might try the manager as the sales person was no help. My sales person seemed less than pressed about getting a sale in before year end. ASK MINI had given me the same answer as they gave you so I already had called the sales person.I think you're basically at the mercy of the shipping company's logistics.
When I was in a similar situation, I called 1-866-ASK-MINI and spoke to a representative. They advised me to ask my dealership, as they said that sometimes the dealership "has a contact" in the shipping company they can talk to. My dealership just gave me the "COVID is slowing everything down" response, and that all their orders were similarly taking longer. You might try contacting your dealership to see if they can help--especially if this gives them a chance to close another sale before the end of the year.
There are at least no holds or weird things pop up in the system per the ASK MINI person. The last ship that had a half a chance of making it in by end of year sailed. Next ships are more sparse. Looks like it could easily be end of Jan at the rate they are going.
