Some people are willing to abandon brain cells when they don't want to wait to get what they want. A concept totally lacking in this thread is the willingness to support a local dealer that has served me well for more than 40 years. No one with 2 or more brain cells to rub together pays MSRP for a vehicle.
I paid MSRP for the 1st Clarity off the truck and MSRP for our new not-to-be-named compact, sporty BEV (which is in very short supply--now a 5-month post-order wait). For me, getting what I want ASAP and supporting my favorite dealer is a better use of my money than, say, visiting a casino (which I have never done).
Brain cells deluded into loyalty and satisfied by quicker gratification? I'm sure most of the posters here would think so.
