Windshield Washer Question

There is a 3-position switch on the back side of my windshield washer control stick. Anyone know what that is?

As you move it, watch the *front* of the stick.

Haha it took me a while to discover that the sensitivity dial could be grasped with the finger and thumb, not just pushed around with one or the other.
