I was thinking more external heat. Hot day with the sun beating down onto a dark hood. Not necessarily waste heat from a vehicle pushing 90% efficient.Unlike ICE, EVs generate less/no heat when they are idling or going slowly so a city would actually be the lowest temp driving. Higher power = more heat so the worst place would be on a track (see numerous examples of tracked EVs limiting power)
At least that's the concern I'm understanding from the OP, but I could be wrong.
