What is the “cargo shelf organizer” and where does it go?

It doesn’t look like it’s the right size (too small/poor coverage) to fit the trunk floor. Try it on the shelf under the rear window. I bet it fits better there. Could it be it’s for that location and the small lip goes front to keep stuff off back seats when you brake??? Just a guess.

I suspect not :p The rear window shelf is a dangerous place to keep anything but something like a blanket. In a collision, even relatively small thing there can cause injury.

That makes sense, but the picture makes it look like it just doesn’t fit the trunk.

You can't really see the trunk contours in the pic. It fits in the flat area that it's designed to, not edge to edge.

It doesn't solve the problem of full cargo protection. Maybe weather tech or other aftermarket supplier will figure it out.

We can only hope. I got tired of waiting on WeatherTech and bought a large generic mat at Wally World and cut it to fit the area in front of the Honda trunk plastic one. It’s cheap and it works but it’s gray and has no raised edges to catch debris.
