I have finally named my SE.

Fiona! As in the princess. She's a feisty little thing. It took me nearly a year.

My R53 is Pingu. A gold star to anyone who doesn't need to Google that one.

For the irony, but also because the car just makes me happy. =)

I named mine Orion. Two reasons. It arrived here on the Orion Highway ship and I think the low speed pedestrian sound sounds like a space ship and Orion sounds like a space my name..

Karl-E because for some reason when I was asked to name my car, the voice of the dude who drives Roger Moore into East Germany in Octopussy popped into my mind and his name was "Karl" however I too grew up around boats and so she is a "Karlie".

I named my SE カスミ (kasumi). Last year, the first non-MINI EV that I ordered came in Harbor Mist Gray. I tend to name my cars after colours (my previous car was an Impreza named Little Red); so, without having that first EV in hand, I started to refer to it as Misty. In the meantime, when that first EV was recalled before I ever got it, I ordered the MINI which arrived first. I looked around for pictures of Misty and landed on Misty of Pokemon. While I've never played Pokemon, she seemed to have a feisty spirit, not unlike the spirit of my SE. Opting for the original Japanese name seemed more appropriate.
