They advise folding the soiled side into the bar - because you can't be certain you've wiped off all the grit and could actually scratch the paint with what looks like a clean bar. This is why I went with a Nanoskin Claybar Mitt - it's not really clay but it works the same AND you can rinse off the dirt.I forgot something. When clay baring you want to keep the face of the clay bar clean. I draped a cloth over my shoulder and after doing an area I wiped it off on the cloth.
We live in Ontario (Canada) and luckily, we don't have to deal with stickers. Our government assigns "green" license plate instead! All green plates start with the letter G (our plates are 7 characters, in a block of 4 letter, then 3 numbers). You can roughly tell how old a car is by the sequence of the plate numbering. For example, our 2018 Clarity starts with GVAY, but my husband's plug in (we decided to try the Ford Fusion Plug In, which IMHO is far less impressive than the Clarity) has a GVCR plate (2020).I read a comment once by someone who got pulled over for only having three of the four stickers. Each sticker has to be on a specific part of the car, so it won't take long for your missing stickers to be noticed, although I suppose the one on the left rear quarter panel is harder to see while you are in the HOV lane.
Then again people drive in the HOV lanes all the time without any stickers and get away with it, but if you have paid for the stickers you may as well put them all on regardless of how ugly they are, no need to risk a fine.
