Ah yes. Just reviewed the beginning of the video and he mentions that the differential is from the Accord Hybrid.

That ICE driven generator must be the primary means of propulsion in the Accord Hybrid, as it only has a 1KWh battery to supplement power to the electric motor. Of course, Engine Drive Mode would be the exception to the rule.

Keep in mind that this is from an Accord hybrid, which incidentally has a 143 hp 2.0 engine! The generator in Clarity and Insight should be around 100 hp.

I found a table on Honda's Japanese site that lists the Clarity PHEV with a max 65 kW generator (87 hp).

It is interesting how the sticker shown on the generator during the video that says 106 kW is different than the one at the very end of the video that says 135 kW.
