VW ID.4 Towing Capacity

Apparently, the ID.4 will have a 4200 pound (1900kg) towing capacity! If it has a hitch available, and has wiring connections ready to go, this would be huge.

The US model tows 2,200 lbs with RWD (201 hp) and 2,700 lbs with AWD (302hp). In Europe towing capacity is generally higher because towing speed limit is lower and trailers have lighter tongue weight.
 
Right, we now know the official ratings. I am hoping to put a hitch on our ID.4, and I hope it has wiring connections ready for this.
 
That is excellent - that seals the deal! The 1st Edition blue is great, the Matrix headlights are cool, the heat pump and direct heating defroster, the pack size, are all great. I think the glass roof will be sweet.

I only wish it had a rear seat heater, and it would be nearly perfect.
