Video and giveaway - GeckoWiper review

Not only is this a product review, but David and I are giving away two (2) GeckoWipers with a total approximate retail value of 1,400$ CDN! Details in the video, video description, and pinned comment. If you drive a 2024 or older Hyundai Ioniq 5, then you know that with no rear wiper the hatch gets dirty and visibility goes out the window (pun intended). There is a solution and in this video I unbox, install, and test the GeckoWiper. It’s an interesting invention by an engineer named Robert in Switzerland and he has versions for several EVs, listed in the video. David and I hope you enjoy the video and good luck with the draw.

Great video. My wife and her 2022 Ioniq 5 SEL (Gigi is what we call her) have their fingers crossed!

Helpful review. You don’t like piano black. Would like to know if it wipes continuously or just 2 passes. Ioniq 5 owner.
It wipes 2 times and waits for another press of the button. This is by design, to extend battery life and works really well. If you want to be part of the draw, be sure you leave comment the answer to the raffle question in the comment section of the video, and indicate for which car.

There are only 7 days left to enter the draw and there are only 71 comments!!! This means if you enter now, you have an incredible chance of winning one of two GeckoWipers that are being drawn. Each is a 700$ value.

I've had my GeckoWiper for about a year now. Generally happy with it. Although it has no washer it gets the job done. Two observations:
1. The little rubber cover for the USB port is very flimsy and doesn't stay in place. I contacted the company about it, and they said they were sending me a more durable one. What I got was all the parts to replace the entire USB port, with no instructions on how to do it. Plus, the rubber cover was the same. Not about to try to disassemble a sealed unit without detailed instructions. So I just put a piece of electrical tape over the USB port.
2. The user manual list the replacement wiper blade as a Bosch A400H 400mm. The link to get on in the US and Canada is Amazon. Amazon is out of stock and doesn't know when or if they'll get any more. The link to the EU source is Amazon Europe. I was able to order it from there. $30.97.

1) I am surprised about the USB cover and I would contact Robert directly, via his website, about it. The parts ship from a warehouse so he may not know about the situation.

2) You don't have to buy the Bosch version, you could just go to Costco or Canadian Tire and buy the correct length wiper. It will be less expensive and just as good.
