Using Sport mode, disadvantages?

I, only a somewhat competent driver, irrationally love the function of the Clarity PHEV's pedal click and am delighted to have someone verify my belief that the car can accelerate as quickly in ECON Mode as in SPORT Mode. If the pedal click worked in SPORT Mode, I might change my tune.

Was looking for something else but noticed this in the manual, looks like it does have a click, but quite a way after you've turned on the engine. I'll have to check it myself if I find an open road

Open the door, get in, and without turning on the power press the accelerator pedal to the "floor." If you didn't feel the click on the way to the floor, you stopped at the click. Press harder.
