Used Snow tires for Clarity

I found some 1 winter old snow tires on Craigslist, Yokohama 235/50R18 used for VW Tiguan. Will these work on my Clarity, with OEM rims? I checked wheel-sized.com and it seems to suggest that it's ok, losing 1/2 in in wheel well, but I am concerned about the Clarity rear wheel fenders coming down over the rear wheels, with snow build up in the well in the winter.

I am in a small rural city, it's hard to find exact snow tires for Clarity.

Anyone has experience?

Those have an aspect ratio of 50 vs. 45 for the Clarity. Because tire width is the same, the overall diameter of the tires will be greater than the Clarity's OEM. That might cause some rubbing with fender wells during suspension play.
