Upgraded to a Flash

I took advantage of Ford's "employee pricing" deal and just upgraded my 2023 Lightning XLT with standard range to a 2025 Flash. So now I have extended range, more towing capacity (10,000 pounds up from 7,700), and a heat pump. Also a bunch of other upgrades, like the bigger center display and B&O sound system. Managed to sell my XLT for more than I owed on it, and got a great interest rate on the Flash on top of the large discount so my monthly payments are lower than they were on the XLT

I lost a couple of non-important features my XLT had: power tailgate, ladder in tailgate, work surface center console cover, regular tires instead of all-terrain. I can always change the tires and I did find a Flash with the pro power and max trailer tow package so I kept those features. Flashes are getting hard to find, and we had a blue one lined up to match our XLT, but it got sold by the alternate dealer who had it while we were trying to buy it. So we ended up with a red one, which is something. Particularly since my MINI Cooper SE is red (different shade, though).

Very nice upgrade, congratulations.:)
More power and range is always good c/w an exceptional price.
In my location, the heat pump saves a lot of energy for climate control in mildly cool temperature conditions during winter months.

The Flash is a cool name making it worth paying a little more, but it sounds like you got a great deal. The Flash includes Blue Cruise, doesn't it? Was that a plus for you? Being a MINI driver, you obviously like turning the steering wheel yourself, but the thrill of driving isn't usually associated with a big pickup truck, so Blue Cruise might be appropriate.

Not interested at all in Blue Cruise. The Flash came with a 90-day trial, but I haven't bothered to activate it. I figure no point in trying it because I won't be paying $50/month for it.

I'm considering covering the driver-facing camera. And oh yeah, the Lightning makes driving a pickup truck actually really nice, it has a faster 0-60 mph time (4-5 seconds) than the MINI Cooper SE. And with all of the torque it's super responsive, and no lurching from gear shifting.
