Unclog radar help wanted

I have driven the Clarity several times in snow/wintry-mix. Each time after a while on the interstate, the warning lights have come on saying that the radar is all goobyed up or words to that effect. The light has stayed on and not gone away until the car has sat for awhile (after which rest the goobys have presumably melted off.) Eventually, it will get cold enough here so that the goobys will stay frozen.

Has anyone tried to clear the goobys from their radar. How did you do it? Would like to hear your experience before I take my upcoming 1,500 mile drive through whatever winter conditions come along.

The radar sensor is located behind the giant "H" emblem on the front of the Clarity. Page 100 of the Owners Manual suggests:

When the radar sensor gets dirty, stop
your vehicle in a safe place, and then
clean the sensor using a soft cloth.

You got me! I had to check my owner's manual to see if "Goobyed" was really in it. I thought maybe it was in industry term I was not aware of. This does not seem like a productive solution to a problem that might happen multiple times in one trip. The snow/slush gets splashed so many times that it seems pointless to stop and clean it.

It obviously depends on the actual weather conditions. I've had this problem a few times with my CRV (has the same system) but it doesn't seem to happen nearly as often as I would predict. Now the backup camera ... that's a different issue for me. I basically need to clean it every time I drive, and almost always forget.
 
Im actually tempted on trying to put like RainX on the radar sensor.
I have No idea if the RainX would cause any issue, but a thin oleophobic coating wouldn't really put much more thickness or weirdness on that sensor.
And hell I am going to put on rainX on the rear camera just to see if I can stop that from Gummying up

"Goobyed" what you get when small child rubs banana coated hands on the sides of its highchair.

I was thinking the same things, Wdave. It should be ok for the front radar protector, but especially the rear camera. It looks the like the same camera as my wife's CRV, but hers we have to clean once every couple of months, but mine on the Clarity gets almost unusable with even misty weather and needs to be wiped clean often.

@insightman calls me a shill for RainX. I use it buffed on the glass and in the reservoir. At speeds over 30 to 35, depending on the rain (harder rain actually helps), I don’t even have to use the wipers.
Now about the sensors and backup camera. Good news is that it has no deleterious effect on either. Bad news is that the front H still ices over and I still have to wipe off the rear camera. But perhaps not as often??

I mean the other day here in new york when 4 inches of snow closed the entire city down (because people forget how to drive in the snow after the summer) It would have been nice to have ACC on the traffic-filled commute home, When it was bad enough that I could get out of the car I cleaned the sensor when I could, It just seems though that every subsequent wipe off it ices over faster.
That's one of the things I loved about my old Subaru Forester, ACC and collision mitigation was all inside the windshield. If you're able to see its able to see as well.

Regardless, I have to apply a clear bra to the car and rainX to the windshield this weekend So ill just rainX everything.
