Touch-ups on aluminum sections

Has anyone tackled touch-ups yet? My Clarity has two deep scratches where it appears the scratches go through the primer down to the aluminum. (One is a deep door ding, the other is on the hood where I got attacked by a seabird while I was driving on the highway.)

With the aluminum exposed, I’m thinking that a compatible primer of some sort is required before applying touch-up paint. My other half seems to want to bring it to an auto body place, but to me that seems like overkill for scratches.

I bought a thing each of primer, paint, and clear coat from here. Was a bit slow to ship, but not badly priced. I haven't actually been motivated to fix my scratches yet, though. AFAICT, it just took the surface paint off and exposed primer.

We both started similar threads yesterday. See replies here: https://insideevsforum.com/community/index.php?threads/scratches-dings-paint-chips.4458/
