It’s here.
Congratulations! A satisfying look at two fun vehicles. During your initial weeks, has the OLED software behaved or have there been a few glitches? I wish that this Countryman SE forum was more active. Elsewhere, many comments or complaints seem to stem from “user error” rather than actual software hiccups.

Thanks! I do seem to be having some issues with it linking to my iPhone. Sometimes it’ll give me trouble when I want to bring up Spotify or Pandora to play music (going back and forth between the two confuses it). Then at other times it works fine. Overall, though, I’m really loving this car.

Picked up my SE ALL4 today. Opted for the lease, which included the $7500 discount, resulting in a savings of $2k for me, when I buy the car. My very initial impressions of this car is that it is too luxurious for me. I'm going to feel really guilty if I go on an adventure and get mud on the car. Suspension is much kinder than on my Cooper SE (which I still have). The concrete roads in Plano TX are atrocious; I really feel the breaks in the concrete in the SE, but in this SE ALL4, I don't feel them nearly as much. (And, in contrast, my Outback, soon to go away, is a puff cushion where I can't feel the road at all.)

I have a feeling that it is going to take me months to learn all of the tech in this car. There was a torrential rain on the way home. I had to trust that the lights were on. I was a little bummed that I couldn't figure out how to play Falco's Amadeus from my phone on the way back.

The Cooper SE is definitely more fun to drive and will remain my drive to work car, even though this Countryman has an IIHS 5* rating.

The colour is smokey green with a vibrant silver roof.

Did they axe Homelink for the U25 and do you have to pay an extra subscription for hill descent like they do in the UK?

There is no homelink. In the US, there are no subscriptions. (I'm not sure what you mean by 'hill descent'.)

Hill Descent Control is like the slowpoke overlanding downhill cruise control (auto ABS & traction control) at speeds of 2 to 12 mph. This is used more commonly for non-paved terrain and manual overbraking could be game over!

If this is the case of no subscriptions, this could also help support why the North American U25s are more expensive than their U25 base model European counterparts.
