The charge port. I don't like how flimsy it is and I'm not fond of the caps with cords. I do like that you can hook the cap on the inside of the charging port cover when you remove it from the charger connection.
This is my fourth plug-in and the worst charge port.

It's the only one that has caps. They are a pain in the butt. There's not a lot of light at the plug-in end of my garage. It takes a lot of fiddling to get the cap hooked on the charge port door. Then more fiddling to put the cap back on when leaving.

And more fiddling to get the charge plug into the socket. You'd think an illuminated port would make that easier, but it doesn't light the socket up. All the other cars' charge ports, I just shoved the connector in the general direction and it went in the socket. Not this one.

I do all my my driving on ECO mode, and set the default regen to 3 (does not change). You have much more control of wheel spin, and with the regen, results in smoother driving. And oh, you still get full power when you tromp it.

Thanks for this tip. It does help quite a bit but I still think Hyundai needs to sort out the other two modes. Sport mode is almost useless.

Agreed that the appearance is not in the Tesla class but I would rather have it than the Niro with its bland profile tarted up with random bits of blue plastic.

I'm not fond of Tesla overall either, like the Kona it's good in spots and overall a bit more refined. The model 3 chrome accents around the doors and chrome door handles are so old looking. The owners who black those out have much better looking cars. Something about the tail light design too, reminds me of cars from the 80's, kinda chunky and not too stylish compared to the rest of the car. And the aero wheels on the Model 3... butt ugly.

The e-Niro is very bland to me as well, I was watching a youtube video and the commentator called it a chunky hippo and now every time I see a Niro I can't help but think of a hippopotamus.

The throttle pedal responds immediately though. In both other modes it has a slight delay.
I don't think there is a delay in ECO, but more of a gentle start with just slight pressure. I know sometimes I do tromp it, and it seems to rip forward very immediately. Certainly fast enough to beat any ICE car at a red light, at least all that I have encountered. Those turbos are the ones with the big lag.

If you compare it right after each other you will notice that it's actually a pretty big difference.

It feels immediate even in eco, but in sport it basically happens while you push the pedal. It's amazing once you compare.
