I'd be surprised if VW ever again sends an electric CAR to the US. Also, since ending the Beetle, VW hasn't sold anything smaller than a Golf/Rabbit in the US, so the Polo is certainly a no-go.

Three years ago, VW teased the world with their long-awaited hot-hatch replacement for the e-Golf. That was before VW's CARIAD software division failed ("thank you very much!" said Rivian) and before VW started moaning that they cannot make any money on electric vehicles. When BMW unveiled its Neue Klasse i3 in March, I finally exhaled after 3 years of holding my breath for this VW concept to become a reality in US VW dealer's showrooms.

I've lost the plot about all the tariffs, cancellations, court cases etc...
Do cars manufactured in Europe still face extra tariffs ?

The generic 10% that was put in place for 3 months ...was also deemed illegal.

Anyways apart from Chinese EVs which has a separate 100% tariff ...I think EVs from Europe should be competitive here...especially the smaller ones which we don't get here like the Renault 5 and these polo ID. Unless I am missing something.

CNBC reports:
"President Donald Trump has said he will give the European Union until July 4 to ratify its trade agreement with the U.S., threatening to raise tariffs to “much higher” levels if the 27-nation bloc fails to do so."
