Per the investor call this morning, Tesla is ending production of Model S and Model X.

Why?

to make more robots.

Say goodbye to the last Teslas that display driver-centric information in front of the driver.

Does this mean Tesla will no longer offer programmed kinetic Christmas-music performances that take great advantage of the Model X's gullwing rear doors?

Sad to see them go, but the writing was on the wall as the S/X were on a 18650 architecture with no upgrade path.
