As a general rule, fines are useless against super-rich individuals or big corporations -- it's just pocket change to them. A stint in jail would be a different ballgame.

Another big drop in TSLA this morning. Does this mean investors are expecting a Trump loss tomorrow?

And yet Trump Media, which is usually an even closer barometer of Trump fans' view of his political fortunes, is way up so far today. Ya got me. But I'd be cautious about reading too much into one day's changes.

Yeah, have been watching both of them, jumping up and down. But not sure how much TSLA is tied to the election outcome. For sure DJT is. Will be interesting to see what TSLA looks like after the election though.

Clever:

The common pleas court judge Angelo Foglietta – ruling after Musk’s lawyers said the winners are not chosen by chance – did not immediately give a reason for the ruling.

The Philadelphia district attorney, Larry Krasner, had called the sweepstakes a scam that violated state election law and asked that it be shut down.

Earlier, an attorney for the billionaire told the court that Musk’s pro-Trump group did not choose the winners of its $1m-a-day giveaway to registered voters at random, but instead picked people who would be good spokespeople for its agenda.

Musk’s lawyer Chris Gober was trying to persuade the judge that the giveaway was not an “illegal lottery”, as Krasner alleged in a lawsuit seeking to block the contest in advance of Tuesday’s US presidential election.

“There is no prize to be won, instead recipients must fulfill contractual obligations to serve as a spokesperson for the Pac,” Gober said in the hearing before Foglietta.

He was hiring employees, not a lottery.

When management lies, the worst effects are to their businesses. They promote the incompetent and drive off the best and brightest.

Well, both TSLA and DJT are way up this morning. And the markets overall, very positive. So does this mean they are anticipating a Trump win?

I just finished watching the 2.5 hour interview Elon Musk had with Joe Rogen. Wow, you would never guess he is the richest person in the world, he was very down to earth, authentic, and thoughtful. They covered a very broad range of topics, not just politics, and I got a much better understanding who this human being is. The whole interview was not just interesting but really explained where Musk is coming from with all his ideas, actions and current thinking.

If you what to know who Elon Musk really is, I strongly urge you to watch this interview. Can be found on youtube, spotify, or X.

Well, looking at the pre-market futures and TSLA pre-market trading, I think there is no doubt shareholders are cheering the election outcome. Hard to say what will happen going forward. There are still the hard fundamentals of the Tesla business, and Musk may be very busy with other things, like his role in the Trump govt with slashing regs and making it more efficient. But at the least, his risk with supporting Trump will not hurt him personally. He could have been in serious trouble if Harris would have won.

The country has voted but my history has not changed. Regardless, already took my TSLA profits and moving on with home solar. As for our country, we'll see. Not a whole lot I can do about it now.

I just saw your post, and I can't help but wonder: I’ve been watching Tesla stock lately, and it’s been a bit of a rollercoaster ride. I’ve noticed how much news and updates about Elon Musk seem to swing the stock up or down. If you want to make moves, it’s a good idea to stay updated on their latest news-production numbers or new ventures.

TSLA up over 20 bucks at $345, in pre-market this morning. Can only say Wow!! Looks like it is reaching for all time highs again, which were just over $400 in 2021. Will there still be a day of reckoning with the fundamentals of the stock, or have the dreamers taken over again?

Well, when the CEO is effectively becoming the shadow president of the U.S., it may change things. But Trump isn't exactly famous for loyalty, so the long term remains a mystery.

I also think Tesla’s a bit of a gamble, but if you believe in the long-term vision, it might still have some solid growth potential. If you want to try out some trading tools to help, you could check out My Funded Fx Discount code for a deal that might help you with your investments.

No longer a stockholder, sold TSLA to buy a home solar system, I won’t be able to vote the way I did twice before. But even if I did, my vote would be different. I sold my stock because Elon has become distracted by Twitter/X and politics.

I’m not casting sand on his previous efforts as much as seeing Elon distracted from his only public company.

Stock hit all time highs today at $417, and likely heading higher. Who would have thought, I certainly didn't, at least not 6 months ago. But seems there is a lot of optimism for next year, with new models and easing of govt red tape, which would help FSD. But geez, it is still a very lofty price given the fundamentals. All I can say is they better deliver next year...

It still seems wildly optimistic to me, despite the undoubted benefit of the CEO being best buds with the incoming POTUS. And the stuff about new models seems really vague and sketchy thus far (and we know about the company's track record re: Timing of launches). We shall see, I guess. The 4th quarter sales figures should be interesting. Do the reports that Tesla already burned through its list of a million Cybertruck reservations after fewer than 50K sales indicate a dropoff in sales? Are the Prologue and Equinox nibbling away at Model Y sales? One way or another, the numbers may tell us something.

A windfall came in so I bought 10 shares for now. I sure hope Musk don't die before I sell them.
