Storage and 12-volt battery

I left mine parked for 4 weeks last summer. I left it around 60%, it lost a few %.
As I believe is not an issue with HV battery to be depleted sitting for a month or a 1/2 a year an issue is with 50 AH 12 volt battery as is getting older from 2020 SE was introduced may not hold a juice to start SE but after that DC to DC charging 12 volt battery start will be charged fast to make SE functional again .Those AGM batteries should be good for 5/7 years if you don’t wants to be stuck in Shopping center replace your 12 V. Battery before reach 7 years old if you keep SE that long ? BMW I 3 20aH 12 volt battery last 7 years in my I 3 as I sold with old battery fully functioning car .Just from my experience asSE is like I 3 .
 
I left my car parked unplugged for two weeks while on a train trip and I had absolutely no noticed drain during that time as well.
As is I’m respecting all your knowledge about driving SE over 100000 miles in really bad weather as NY should be Florida compared to your state a ? Is how your 12 V, 50 aH battery is doing just for curiosity once the BMW in I 3 installed 20 aH 12 V. Battery whitch last 7 years

As my I 3 was driven 3/4000 miles a year keeps in heated garage hardly used any heating driving short distance and summer time no AC bc I love hot weather I assume why my starting 12 V battery last so long and I think SE will be the same with my pattern of driving as in 3 1/2 years old I’m reaching only 20000 miles

I want to say I had my 12 V battery replaced maybe around 75,000 miles? I seem to recall that because the cost is fairly significant for a new AGM battery and it should get paired. Or I'm misremembering because I know for sure I've had to replace the 12 V battery once or twice on previous ICE MINIs I've owned. If I did have it done it would have been at the dealer.

My SE lives in an unheated garage, but sits exposed all day long when I'm at work. And our winters do get extremely cold, so 12 V batteries usually only last 2-3 years. But the SE doesn't need cold cranking amps to start, so I don't think the stress is as great on the batteries.

Thanks for answers did you ever try to cover 12 V battery with heat blanket for winter as I don’t have any experience how this can work for battery benefits as in NY I always replace 12 V batteries in any ACE cars in five years to not have a problems with start as for many years have 4 cars when my 2 sons were around since they get a drivers license through a colleges and some extra cars as my collection

I've never found that necessary, cold slows down the chemical reaction in batteries but doesn't kill them like heat does. What are common in our winter wonderland are electric block heaters for ICE cars, to keep the oil from thickening. That helps with starting in cold weather, since it's easier to crank the engine. None of which matters for EVs, of course.
